"Until one has loved an animal, part of their soul remains unawakened.” Ingrid Reinig

Paws & Claws - Meet The Team - Our Staff

Ingrid was born and raised in Costa Rica where her life was split living in the city and Paws and claws pet sittingalso in the family farm; way out in the country, very rustic. The dogs, cows, chickens and horses were her friends most of the time; thus starting developing a relation with animals that is very deep inside her. Ingrid moved to US in 1981 living in Fresno, where she went to school at Fresno City College and graduated as a Radiologist technologist, profession that she still practices and loves; but her true passion is her love for dogs and cats. Then the family grew adding Nala and Lita. We treasure the memories and the lessons we learned from our past and present pets as well as the guests that have left our space and are now in pet heaven. We have hosted gardening parties for fund raisers and enjoyed the comradery, meeting people with different passions and hobbies. Our biggest satisfaction is when client’s dogs go crazy when they are riding on the street near our house, and they recognize our names (Ingrid Lita Nala) when asked to come and visit with us.

Peanut: Assistant Manager, She helps Lita manage the household Nalaguests with her stern looks and checks that everyone is behaving. No dog is too big for her and she is fond of tall, handsome dark male dogs. She checks the yard for any predators and loves going for walks and car rides. She is “daddy’s “ little girl.

Lita:  House Manager,  she helps keep everyone aligned, size and shape Litais not an issue. Is her sheer determination to make this a successful  and congenial place for everyone to visit.  She has a certificate from the  AKC CGC (American Kennel Club registered Canine Good Citizen)  and a graduate from Therapy school for ITDI, Independent Therapy Dog, Inc.  Like her mom, she is multitasked, managing the house, attending pet and fundraising events, visiting people and traveling with her parents.

Rachel: The Watch Dog, She is shy and quiet at the beginning, but she watches everything that goes on. She loves to run, she is incredible fast at it, like stealth! and when she is ready to relax, she is the best lap dog ever, cuddles with you for as long as you let her. She follows in the steps of her older sister Lita and has a certificate from the AKC CGC (American Kennel Club registered Canine Good Citizen) and a graduate from Therapy school for ITDI, Independent Therapy Dog, Inc.

Nala: Nala is no longer with us, however she is still greeting everyone from Doggie Haven.

House Greeter, she is very welcoming and wants everyone to be Nalahappy and enjoy themselves. Her mission: Love, peace and joy. Her vision: stuffed toys, body of water (clean or muddy) and food.  Loves going for walks and all humans!.
